Introduction

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or intimidating, especially when you have spent a long time carrying difficult emotions on your own. You may be grieving a loss, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, questioning where you belong, or trying to balance your own needs with family, cultural, and social expectations. You do not have to work through these experiences alone.

I strive to create a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, feel understood, and explore what matters most to you. I view counseling as a collaborative process: you bring valuable knowledge about your own life, while I offer curiosity, support, and clinical tools to help you build awareness and move toward meaningful change.

Clinical Interests

My approach is person-centered and culturally responsive, with influences from Gestalt therapy and motivational interviewing. I work with adults ages 18 and older who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, identity concerns, relationship stress, and cultural adjustment. I am especially committed to supporting LGBTQ+ clients, immigrants, international students, and people navigating multiple cultural identities. As someone who has lived and studied across cultures, I understand how language, belonging, family expectations, and immigration experiences can shape emotional well-being. I am also able to provide counseling in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

My hope is that therapy can become a place where you feel safe being honest, reconnect with your strengths, and begin building a life that feels more authentic and manageable. We can take that process one step at a time.
