Introduction

Life can get heavy, and dealing with trauma, intense emotions, or feeling like your mind is working against you can make you feel completely alone. You don't have to carry it by yourself.

I have a deep passion for helping people find their path forward. At the heart of my work is the belief that genuine connection, feeling truly seen and heard, and authentic relationships are the foundation of the healing process.

Clinical Interests & Approach

I specialize in working with adults and older adolescents. Together, we can tackle challenges like substance use and mental health concerns, deep trauma, overwhelming emotions, or trying to make sense of complex relationships and reality.

My office is a safe space completely free of judgment where your whole story is welcome. My approach is collaborative, grounded, and human; we are a team. We will use practical, down-to-earth tools to help you find your footing and reclaim your life. This includes practicing mindfulness to help anchor yourself in the present moment, using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to navigate intense emotions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to understand how your thoughts and actions connect, and Motivational Interviewing to support your own inner drive for change.

Personal Interests

Outside of the office, you can usually find me tending to my plants, reading, or taking a hike or road trip. I am also kept happily busy at home by my three dogs: a senior husky and two energetic yellow lab puppies.

• Licensed Master Social Worker, licensed to practice in the state of Iowa - expected August 2026

• Master of Social Work from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota

• Bachelor of Arts in Human Services & Psychology from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa

• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

• Certified in Trauma-Informed Practice
