Telehealth Appointments Available
Fill out our online form, or call us at 319-804-9312 and select option #3 to discuss becoming a new client at Alli Center. If we do not answer, please leave a detailed voicemail message, and we will call you back.
If we have a clinician available to work with you, our intake coordinator will send you a link to register for our Client Portal to enter your information and sign our consent forms. After everything is complete, the coordinator will help you schedule your first appointment.
Be sure to confirm which location your appointment is scheduled at, and ask us for help with directions if you'd like.
If your session is being held online, review the technical requirements for using our telehealth system before your appointment.
You will receive a text or email link for your appointment at least 30 minutes before it starts.
Meet with your counselor and start finding solutions to improve your life.
The first session focuses on understanding what brings you to therapy, reviewing relevant history, and discussing your goals. It is also an opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether the therapist feels like a good fit.
The length of therapy varies. Some clients attend for a short period to address a specific concern, while others choose longer-term therapy. This is something you and your therapist will discuss and revisit over time.
We do not provide medication management directly; however, with your permission, we can coordinate care with your primary care provider or psychiatric prescriber when appropriate.
A strong therapeutic relationship is important. If you feel another clinician may be a better fit, our team will help facilitate a transition.
Most therapy sessions are approximately 45-55 minutes. Frequency varies, but many clients start with weekly sessions and adjust over time based on progress and needs.
Progress looks different for everyone. You and your therapist will regularly check in on goals, symptom changes, and overall functioning to ensure therapy remains helpful and aligned with your needs.
Your therapist can discuss appropriate supports and resources between sessions. Therapy is not a crisis service, but we provide guidance on emergency and crisis resources when needed. If you are having an emergency, please call 911 or go to your local emergency room. You may also call the Foundation 2 Crisis Center Hotline at 1-800-332-4224, or the Iowa Helpline at 1-855-800-1239.
