Resilience is an essential skill that everyone is capable of learning. Using a holistic approach, Kirby helps clients develop resilience and regain a sense of control or even find peace within their lives despite the circumstances that may come their way. Kirby is passionate about helping marginalized populations find their voice and overcome hardships. Mental health advocacy is an essential component of social work and is therefore integrated into her therapeutic approach.

Clinical Interests

Kirby specializes in mental health/substance use co-occurring diagnoses, LGBTQ+ issues, and advocacy. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy as well as dialectical behavior therapy and utilizes unconditional positive regard paired with a person-centered approach to illicit positive outcomes in therapy. Kirby partners with each client to develop comprehensive treatment plans that help them achieve the goals they have set out for themselves.

Personal Interests

Kirby enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons with her closest friends as well as spending time with her three young daughters. Time spent outdoors in nature, camping, floating, and hiking are her favorite activities.
