Bonnie Seely, ARNP
Bonnie Seely’s desire to support and care for people in a holistic way is what led her to enrich her extensive experience as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with a post-master’s certificate in psychiatry and mental health care.
Throughout her earlier roles as an ICU nurse, hospitalist, and palliative care specialist, Bonnie made a practice of seeking to understand not only the physical symptoms or condition that brought people into her care, but also their connections with mental health. Over and over, she saw how the mind-body connection contributes to physical and mental well-being. She witnessed the healing power of being able to develop relationships with patients, and reflects, “I really love and value that relationship with people.”
Today, Bonnie is passionate about listening to understand each individual’s circumstances and offering her patients perspectives and tools for holistic health. Her approach combines therapy, medication, and teaching skills such as mindfulness, breath techniques, and stretching.
She explains, “For instance, if I have a client with anxiety who learns some simple tools for breathing and mindfulness, they don’t have to worry about having medication with them. They have these skills with them all the time, within them.”
Bonnie works with adults with mental health concerns, and has particular experience treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and chronic stress.
