Kristine Taylor, T-LMHC

Based in our Coralville office.

My goal as a therapist is to listen to you when no one else will and help you find a voice when you feel like you don’t have one. I have always had a passion for helping people, and advocating for them as well, and I hope to continue to do that here at the Alli Center. Asking for help can be difficult, but now that you have taken that first step, the result can be life changing!

I utilize a person centered approach, and tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual. My goal is to be empathetic and collaborative, and work alongside you while providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can be yourself and express yourself freely.

Clinical Interests

I work with individuals ages nine and up, with couples, and with families including children ages two and up. I help clients with issues including ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation, stress management, relationship concerns, life transitions, autism, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, and PTSD. I have experience working with those who have experienced sexual violence, and I am polyamory-, nonmonogamy- and sex worker-friendly.

I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, but the ones I use most commonly are CBT, DBT, narrative, solution focused, mindfulness, empty chair, and person centered talk therapy.

Personal Interests

My personal interests include spending time with my family, advocacy and volunteer work, animals, reading and writing, travel, puzzles, and board games.
